Doorstep Photoshoots

It’s coming up to Christmas 2020 and this year might be a little different to what we’re used to. As a part-time photographer who has had to down her camera for most of 2020, I was looking for a way to give back to the community and to support invaluable services that we may need to rely on in these difficult times. So, over the next few weeks, I will be offering ‘Doorstep Photoshoots’ for the residents of Knowle Village in return for a donation to Mind UK.

Not sure what a doorstep photoshoot is? Just google it 😊 I’ve not done any myself yet, but I’ve got a long camera lens that will mean I can maintain social distancing and still zoom in on your lovely faces when I stop and take a snap of you on my village walk!

So, if you and the residents of your household in KV would like to take advantage of a few photos to mark a unique Xmas 2020, all you have to do is follow these 3 steps:

In case you didn’t know, all photos look better in daylight, so I’ll be offering slots on Saturdays from now until 19th Dec from 10am – 4pm. Photos after dusk can be considered on request, but will require more time to set up. I’ll email you to confirm your booking. Once some bookings are placed, I’ll let you know what slots are still available on this page 😊

2. Make your DONATION to Mind uk via my just giving page

There is no minimum donation amount, but I hope you agree it’s for a great cause and if this wasn’t for charity, I think most pro photographers would charge quite a bit! If you could follow me on social media too, I’d be delighted, but this isn’t a requirement of the process 😊

3. Enjoy your photos!

In the booking form, you should have provided me with your contact details, so just sit back, relax and wait for me to send you a Dropbox link to your photos! As this is for charity, I don’t have a set number of deliverable images that I can guarantee, but as long as no one is blinking, I think there’ll be at least one great photo, and any more is a bonus 😊

Why am I doing this for Mind Uk?

I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been deeply affected by the two national lockdowns, my family and I included. Whatever the situation you’re in, it takes its toll on our mental health. As rates of anxiety and depression continue to grow, Mind is an invaluable source of help and support. I encourage you to seek them out if you feel like you need some support this winter.

The resulting images will be property and (c) of Megan Andersen. I withhold the right to use the images on social media or as part of my future portfolio of work. By submitting the form, you consent to the resulting photos being used for these purposes. If you would not like images featuring you or a member of your family to be used for these purposes, please let me know and I would be happy to help 😊. Images will be delivered to you on confirmation of your donation to the chosen charity using your reference submitted in the booking form.Confirmation of date and time of your shoot may be subject to change due to bad weather conditions and I will endeavour to notify you of this change as early on the day of the shoot as possible.

The photographer is not obliged to store the images for longer than 1 month.  There is no minimum amount of photos to be delivered, but I can advise on the final amount I can provide to you once I have reviewed the available images and they are deemed to be ‘deliverable’ (culled photos will be those of people (for example) blinking or moving etc). There is no minimum or maximum amount of time for the photographer to deliver the images to the client, as this is for charity, but I will endeavour to deliver them as soon as possible. Gift aid is not available in this instance as I am requesting donations in return of a service.


None of your personal details will be kept on record, used for marketing purposes or sold onto 3rd parties. All information obtained in the booking form will be destroyed by 1st January 2021. This is for charity after all!
