About

I’m Megan Andersen, a wedding photographer based along on the South Coast. Up above is a photo of my husband and I on our lovely wedding day; As you can see, we’re a bit untraditional! It wasn’t long after this shot was taken that I became obsessed with Wedding Photography. So, I started in the trade about 4 years ago, working as a team with the excellent Lloyd Richard Photography and now have over 50 lovely weddings under my belt. I still work with Lloyd, but every now and again, I like to go solo when people approach me to shoot their big day, which is such a privilege!

Here I am on the Brooklyn Bridge in NYC! I’m much more at home behind the camera, rather than the subject matter, but when in Rome… or New York in this case! Bit windy up there!

I’ve always been creative – I studied Art & Design and even have a degree in it! I’ve been obsessed with cameras for most of my life (from Polaroids as a kid, to my first Digital Powershot and DSLR at art school) and taking photos of my family & friends, combined with those milestone-moments in life. So it was inevitable that I would eventually fall head-over-heels in love with wedding photography!

In my day job, I sometimes get to photograph incredible people, like Olympian Dame Kelly Holmes!

I’m lucky to have two vocations that I love. When I’m not snapping away at weddings, I work for a tech company as a Designer & Marketer; it’s a really fun and exciting job, helping execute campaigns and even produce and shoot content. In my spare time, you’ll find me pretending to be on masterchef (and as you can imagine, my husband absolutely insists on sampling my work), crafting away making handmade gifts and spending time exploring the lovely location I live in, near Wickham in Hampshire, a truly beautiful part of the world.

but enough about me…
how do I APPROACH wedding photograPhy?

I hope you enjoy checking out my work, and drop me a message if you want to talk weddings and cameras and photos and love and celebration and more!
